Hybrid Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course combines 8 hours of self-paced online learning with a full-day (approximately 8-hour) instructor-led field skills session, giving you the flexibility to learn at your own pace while building real-world confidence through hands-on practice. Excellent option for those with busy life schedules and working professionals. Designed for guides, hikers, backpackers, hunters, campers, outdoor educators, guides, homeschool families, and outdoor enthusiasts, this course teaches the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize, assess, and manage medical emergencies in remote environments. During the course, you'll learn to: -Perform wilderness patient assessments. -Manage life-threatening injuries and illnesses. -Treat wounds, burns, fractures, sprains, and environmental emergencies. -Improvise splints and other field-expedient equipment. -Make sound evacuation and patient care decisions. Upon successful completion of the online coursework and in-person skills day, participants receive a globally recognized Wilderness First Aid certification from the certifying organization listed for that specific course offering.
