Wilderness First Aid (WFA) provides the industry standard 16-hour certification for everyone who plays, works, lives or travels in remote settings.Learn how to handle medical emergencies when 911 is more than a quick call away. This course is typically mandatory for guides, rangers, and other adventure program leaders. It also is great for rural communities to help strengthen local resources. In short, any person who recreates or travels in a remote area. This hybrid course combines 8 hours of self-paced online training then completed with 1 day of in-person day of scenarios and hands-on skills practice led by a Survival Med-certified instructor. Includes a two-year Wilderness First Aid certification that meets the requirements for Boy Scouts/Scouting USA’s high-adventure bases including Philmont, NICA, the National Park Service, and many more.
