Service Description
Emergencies don’t wait for professionals—and often the first person on scene is a bystander. The Initial Responder course empowers everyday individuals to understand foundations of emergency systems, recognize emergencies, protect themselves, and take confident, lifesaving action in the critical minutes before advanced help arrives. This hands-on or virtual, class focuses on practical skills for real-world situations. Participants learn how to assess a scene, activate emergency services, provide immediate care, and support a patient until professional responders take over. Topics include: -Scene safety and situational awareness -Recognizing medical and traumatic emergencies -Primary patient assessment and critical decision-making -Bleeding control and shock management -Communication, teamwork, and effective handoff to EMS The Initial Responder course is ideal for community members, educators, outdoor leaders, volunteers, and workplace teams. It also serves as a strong foundation or entry point for further training in CPR/First Aid, Wilderness First Aid (WFA), or Emergency Response pathways. No prior medical training is required. Cancellation Policy
Course Refund Policy We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to request a refund for your course, please review the following conditions: Refund Eligibility: You may request a refund within 7 days from the in-person skills course start date. Specific payers such as course fees paid by employers and AZ ESA may not be eligible for refunds. Refund Amount: If you are eligible for a refund, you will receive 50% of the total course fee. The remaining 50% will be non-refundable. You may reschedule to another skills time in coordination with Naturalist Solutions via email naturalistsolutions@gmail.com. Refund Process: To request a refund, please contact us at Naturalist Solutions via email at naturalistsolutions@gmail.com with your course details. Refund requests will be processed within 15 business days. Non-refundable Fees: Any administrative or processing fees, if applicable, are non-refundable. ESA funds may not be refunded. After the Refund Period: No refunds will be issued 7 days prior to the in-person course start date. By enrolling in the course, you agree to the terms outlined in this refund policy. Course Reschedule Policy We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, and we want to accommodate our students as much as possible. Please review the following guidelines for rescheduling your course: Reschedule Requests: You may request to reschedule your course up to 7 calendar days before the in-person course start date if another in-person course is available. Reschedule Fee: A rescheduling fee of $80 USD may apply for any reschedule requests less than 7 calendar days of the in-person class. Availability: Rescheduling is subject to availability. We will make every effort to offer alternative dates or courses, but availability may vary. After the Reschedule Window: Reschedule requests made less than 1 calendar day before the course start date may not be accepted, and no reschedules will be allowed. Limitations: Each participant is allowed a maximum of ONE reschedule per in-person course. After that, no further rescheduling will be permitted. No-Shows: If you fail to attend the course without prior notice or fail to reschedule within the allowed time frame, you will forfeit the course fee.
