AVIRT – Active Violence Incident Response Training AVIRT (Active Violence Incident Response Training) is a practical, reality-based course designed to prepare individuals, organizations, and community members to effectively respond to active violence incidents. This training focuses on situational awareness, threat recognition, and decision-making under stress. Participants will learn proven strategies to avoid, deter, and respond to violent encounters using best-practice principles adapted from emergency services, law enforcement, and civilian response models. Through discussion, scenario-based learning, and hands-on application, students will build the confidence and skills needed to act quickly and appropriately in high-risk situations—whether that means escaping danger, assisting others, or coordinating with first responders.
