Wilderness First Aid (WFA) provides the industry standard 16-hour certification for everyone who plays, works, lives or travels in remote settings.Learn how to handle medical emergencies when 911 is more than a quick call away. This course is typically mandatory for guides, rangers, and other adventure program leaders. It also is great for rural communities to help strengthen local resources. In short, any person who recreates or travels in a remote area. This hybrid course combines 8 hours of self-paced online training then completed with 1 day of in-person day of scenarios and hands-on skills practice led by a Survival Med-certified instructor. Includes a two-year Wilderness First Aid certification that meets the requirements for Boy Scouts/Scouting USA’s high-adventure bases including Philmont, NICA, the National Park Service, and many more. Hybrid Wilderness First Aid Certification Pathway - Register today - Once course fees are paid a link will arrive shortly for online content. - Complete the online course sections at your own pace. - Attend the scheduled in-person lesson & skills day focused on real-world scenarios. - Receive your Wilderness First Aid certification (CPR/AED included if selected). Flexible. Practical. Field-ready. Please note that the class day scheduled is the in person day and skills. The online section must be completed prior to the scheduled in person day. You can signup with as little as a few days or as much time as you need for the scheduled skills day. CPR Certification available for an additional fee. Cancellation Policy
Course Refund Policy We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to request a refund for your course, please review the following conditions: Refund Eligibility: You may request a refund within 7 days from the in-person skills course start date. Specific payers such as course fees paid by employers and AZ ESA may not be eligible for refunds. Refund Amount: If you are eligible for a refund, you will receive 50% of the total course fee. The remaining 50% will be non-refundable. You may reschedule to another skills time in coordination with Naturalist Solutions via email naturalistsolutions@gmail.com. Refund Process: To request a refund, please contact us at Naturalist Solutions via email at naturalistsolutions@gmail.com with your course details. Refund requests will be processed within 15 business days. Non-refundable Fees: Any administrative or processing fees, if applicable, are non-refundable. ESA funds may not be refunded. After the Refund Period: No refunds will be issued 7 days prior to the in-person course start date. By enrolling in the course, you agree to the terms outlined in this refund policy. Course Reschedule Policy We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, and we want to accommodate our students as much as possible. Please review the following guidelines for rescheduling your course: Reschedule Requests: You may request to reschedule your course up to 7 calendar days before the in-person course start date if another in-person course is available. Reschedule Fee: A rescheduling fee of $80 USD may apply for any reschedule requests less than 7 calendar days of the in-person class. Availability: Rescheduling is subject to availability. We will make every effort to offer alternative dates or courses, but availability may vary. After the Reschedule Window: Reschedule requests made less than 1 calendar day before the course start date may not be accepted, and no reschedules will be allowed. Limitations: Each participant is allowed a maximum of ONE reschedule per in-person course. After that, no further rescheduling will be permitted. No-Shows: If you fail to attend the course without prior notice or fail to reschedule within the allowed time frame, you will forfeit the course fee.
